Report: Moscow hopes COVID-19 rule fulfillment prevents lockdown
MOSCOW, Nov 6 (PRIME) – Fulfillment of the COVID-19-related requirements will help avoid a strict lockdown, Vladimir Yefimov, deputy Moscow mayor for economic policies, told channel Rossiya 24 late on Thursday.
"We hope that strict fulfillment of the quite mild restrictions which have been introduced so far will help us avoid more severe restrictions than the ones set by the order," Yefimov said.
He also said that there is no need to introduce passes distributed by companies among the employees because both people and companies have a responsible approach to the anti-virus measures.
"There is no such need now, the figures of passenger traffic in public transport that we see, the decrease of personal car traffic mean that the people and organizations approach fulfillment of the introduced requirements with responsibility," the official said.
